Hello, my name is Chad Radford and I am an Atlanta-based music journalist with 20 years of experience in writing, editing, and podcasting. Punk, hardcore, jazz, noise, post-punk, hip-hop, metal, modern composition, drone music, and all points in between are where my interests lie. I am an avid nature lover, and I buy too many records.

This site features exclusive content, links to articles I have written for other publications, and refurbished stories I’ve written in the past. Follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or send me an email.

I have several podcasts, interviews, feature stories, and reviews on the schedule for the coming year. I know the value of thorough research and thoughtful storytelling. Just finished your book ‘Atlanta Record Stores’ – loved it! I’m a big vinyl record collector and I really enjoyed the book! Thanks for writing it.

  2. Hi Chad,

I am organising an exhibition of drummer’s art ie artworks made by drummers. There are 19 drummers involved including Richard Wilson of Bow Gamelan. While picking up a work from him I noticed a bass drum which he said belonged to Z’ev. I have always been an admirer of Z’ev and asked Richard if I could exhibit the drum. He agreed. I was going to include some of the obit from the NYT but actually yours is better. How would uou feel about me using an edited version for my very short run catalogue and maybe one of the ohotos with credits? best Nick Cash

    1. Hello Nick,

Thank you for getting in touch. Please feel free to edit the story and images for your catalogue. That’s great. I will search around to see if I have higher res versions of these images on file somewhere. I should still have them. And you can credit it to Chad Radford—that’s me.

If you print a physical catalogue, could I please get a copy sent to me? I like to hang on to these sorts of things.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

      Kind regards,

      Chad Radford
